2017, Let Us Pray
When I tell you that the last few weeks have been hectic that is a complete understatement. I feel as though all I have been doing is moonlighting as I am always on the go and flitting from one project and or location to the next. I am thankful that the holiday season is upon us but I don’t foresee any actual break ahead to just be able to sit down and catch my breath.
The second edition of Wounded has dropped and I am pretty excited about how well it and Wildfire have been performing. 2017 has been a year for the books with some of the greatest highs and lowest of lows. My family has suffered great losses this year and so the celebration of the good things that have come are just so bittersweet.
We are still mourning the loss of my grandmother, Carolyn, and of the tragic injustice to my baby cousin, Bakari, in Italy and the lack of engagement from our POTUS. Let’s stand behind children that have been absolutely disrespectful – criminal – in another country (CHINA) but not mention or demand justice for one that was an upstanding citizen doing great things in this world whom was violently stripped from this earth. I can’t wrap my mind around it. I cannot find the words.
We have such focus on irrelevant things in our lives but no attention to the things that matter.
2017, let us pray…
